Description
A key component to Bishop Strickland's new vision for Marriage Formation in the Diocese of Tyler is the use of mentor couples, specifically using the program Witness to Love.
Witness to Love is a virtues-based, Catechumenate model of marriage renewal and preparation that integrates modern principles of psychology and the virtues to help couples facilitate an authentic dialogue about their relationship.
The Diocesan training for Witness to Love will be held on Saturday, January 20th from 9:30am-3:00pm at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. This training is designed for clergy (priests and deacons) and marriage formation leaders and will be available in English and Spanish.
Each parish can send up to a maximum of three married couples or individuals to this training, in addition to their priest who can attend at no cost. During this event, your parish participants will receive program materials and online resources. Witness to Love will offer ongoing support as you begin to implement this program in your parishes.
